Roig Arena has been recognized as a winner at the 14th Annual Architizer A+Awards in the Stadiums & Arenas category.

Organized by the prestigious U.S.-based platform Architizer, considered one of the world’s most influential architecture communities, the A+Awards celebrate the most outstanding projects on a global scale each year. This award places Roig Arena on the international map of contemporary architecture and recognizes its ability to integrate sport, culture and technology within a versatile urban infrastructure, deeply connected to the city of Valencia.

Designed by HOK+ERRE, Roig Arena is a multi-purpose building open 365 days a year, hosting a wide range of events, including basketball games, concerts and corporate gatherings, while generating new forms of relationship between architecture and its surroundings. One of the project’s most distinctive features is its intelligent envelope of ceramic fins, capable of receiving real-time data and transforming it into a striking light display. The façade turns Roig Arena into a living organism that changes to the rhythm of each event, extending the experience from the inside out and establishing a dialogue with the city.

This recognition will also have a new editorial dimension: Roig Arena will be featured in the volume Architizer: The World’s Best Architecture 2027. The publication will bring together an international selection of projects that reflect the current moment in the profession, marked by a renewed focus on craft, material intelligence, construction detail and architecture’s ability to generate high-quality spaces.
