SENDES D’AIGUA WINS THE THIRD PRIZE

ERRE’s proposal, under the slogan Sendes d’aigua, won third prize in the international competition for the “Desembocadura Park” for the city of Valencia.

The competition, to which 17 projects were submitted, 5 of which were selected for the final phase, promoted the design of a large urban park of some 245,000 m2 that would culminate the Turia garden, one of the most important interurban linear parks in the world, and connect the historic district of Nazareth with the rest of the city.

A PARK THAT CONNECTS THE SEA AND THE CITY

Using water and its different forms as a unifying element, ERRE architecture’s proposal suggests creating a sustainable and accessible public space that fosters the connection between the city, the sea, and nature.

Sendes d’aigua is born as a healthy, inclusive, and natural public space. It is a project to complete the city and connect its neighborhoods. A park for all citizens that allows Valencia to open up to the sea and the future.

For the ERRE team, it has been a great opportunity to have been part of the final phase of this competition, contributing to the sustainable development of Valencia and the well-being of its inhabitants.
