UNDER CONSTRUCTION: MERCADONA HEADQUARTERS

The Mercadona Headquarters, a project for which we have previously shared details of its progress, continues to advance in its construction and has already welcomed 700 of the expected 2,600 employees upon the completion of the works.

These central offices consist of three parallel north-south-oriented blocks, of which the construction of the first two has been completed, and work is underway to finish the last one within the scheduled timeframe. This block is being executed using the same construction process as the previous two, creating a main structure that will allow spacious interior spaces with a separation of up to 16 meters between pillars.

A NEW OFFICE MODEL

With the support of the international consulting firm BICG and the experience of the ERRE architecture team, with over 120,000 square meters in office design projects, the Mercadona Headquarters have been conceived using the WORKPLACE ERRE methodology, our office design approach based on three fundamental pillars for any company: FLEXIBILITY, COMFORT, and TECHNOLOGY.

In this way, the aim is to break with the isolated and independent department system and implement an open, agile, and flexible office concept with a highly effective system to address the challenges and obstacles that companies face today, providing personalized solutions tailored to the specific needs of each type of company and client.

A GLOBAL PROJECT

This project will consolidate the new Mercadona Headquarters, located in Albalat dels Sorells, which began in 2012 with the construction of the Lecture Hall and Data Processing Center (DPC). It is a global project consisting of four parallel north-south-oriented blocks with an area of 35,000 m2, in addition to an underground parking lot with three levels and 1,300 spaces.
