MARINA PORT VALENCIA STANDS OUT WITH A PROPOSAL THAT WILL BECOME A MILESTONE IN THE PORT OF VALENCIA
Last May, the Port Authority of Valencia announced the winning project of the competition for the adaptation and operation of the sports and recreational facilities in the northern area of the Port of Valencia.
The winning project is led by Marina Port Valencia, an alliance formed by SEMAR and OCIBAR, proven leaders in nautical projects across the Mediterranean. This project will mark a milestone not only in the nautical industry but also in the entire touristic, social, economic, cultural, and sustainable landscape of the city of Valencia and the Valencian Community.
ERRE arquitectura, responsible for the architectural design, has worked on the project to create a global and integrative proposal that will establish new spaces capable of hosting different uses, surrounded by truly sustainable and innovative landscaping.
This project is one of absolute local integration, with a firm commitment to fostering collaboration with Valencia and the Valencian Community’s key collectives, federations, and associations.
Con este proyecto, Valencia sigue consolidándose como una ciudad única. Un destino en constante evolución que se prepara para abrirse al mundo gracias a una nueva era de desarrollo, prestigio y reconocimiento internacional.
With this project, Valencia continues to consolidate itself as a unique city, a destination in constant evolution, preparing to open up to the world through a new era of development, prestige, and international recognition.
A STRATEGIC PROJECT FOR THE FUTURE OF VALENCIA
La Marina de Valencia, a nautical space with a privileged location, will be revitalized in a cutting-edge way. Its spaces, both on land and at sea, will be optimized, creating an engine for socio-economic development for the city and the Community.
The proposal aims to reorganize, leverage, and improve the quality of services provided to users and vessels around two main areas: the water surface and the land area.
The proposal integrates and continues the project initiated in 2015 by Marina de Empresas, the Mediterranean’s largest hub for entrepreneurship and innovation. It will attract investors, high-level commercial projects, and new leisure and entertainment offerings that will captivate citizens and visitors from around the world.
The common goal of the entire intervention is not only to transform the physical landscape of the port but also to strengthen its role as a gateway to innovation and modernity in the Mediterranean.
THE PERFECT LINK BETWEEN THE PORT AND THE CITY
The project’s goal is to bring the port closer to the city, making it perceived as an integrated space within Valencia. It is a proposal that connects the territory and guarantees a model of port-city integration that respects the environment, where nautical activities coexist with the city and tourism, creating a powerful socio-economic development engine for the city and the community.
The intervention includes the design of mixed-use buildings capable of accommodating the productive fabric and adding value-added services to meet the expectations of both locals and tourists.
The proposal envisions offices designed and fully equipped to provide an ideal place for work and coworking, as well as restaurants, commercial spaces, and leisure areas that will invigorate the Marina and turn it into a unique and desirable environment.
The project presented by Marina Port Valencia will enable the creation of excellent sports and recreational facilities, enhancing services for users and visitors. It will also bring the port closer to the city, allowing citizens to enjoy the facilities while promoting nautical and cultural activities, and generating quality employment. Additionally, it will position Valencia as a reference point in the Mediterranean through a new and promising space for the Valencian Community.
