THE PERFECT LINK BETWEEN THE PORT AND THE CITY The project aims to bring the port closer to the city so that it is perceived as an integrated part of Valencia’s urban fabric. It is a proposal that structures the territory and ensures a model integration between port and city — respectful of its surroundings and conceived as a space where nautical activity coexists harmoniously with the city and tourism, creating a powerful socio-economic development engine for both Valencia and the wider Community. The intervention proposes the design of mixed-use buildings capable of hosting productive activities while providing value-added services that respond to both local and tourist expectations. The Marina Port Valencia proposal includes offices thoughtfully designed and fully equipped to offer an ideal environment for work and coworking, as well as restaurants, retail spaces, and leisure areas that will energize the Marina and transform it into a unique and desirable destination. The project presented by Marina Port Valencia will enable the creation of first-class nautical and sports facilities that will enhance the services offered to users and visitors. It will also strengthen the connection with the city, allowing citizens to enjoy its facilities through the promotion of nautical and cultural activities — while generating high-quality employment. Moreover, it will position Valencia as a key reference point in the Mediterranean, through a new and promising space for the Valencian Community.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION: ALBALAT OFFICES

Today we would like to catch you up with the construction progress of the works of what will become the new central offices of Mercadona. This project, located in the town of Albalat de Sorells (Valencia), will consolidate this new headquarters that began its construcction in 2012 with the Data Processing Center (DPC) and the Service Center.

 

THE STRUCTURE

Currently, works are being completed on the main structure of the building, which will allow the creation of free spaces between pillars up to 16 meters wide.

In this way, it is possible to get free interior space in order to implement an open and flexible office model that allows different configurations and distributions, enhancing communication and synergies between departments.

PROJECT ORGANISATION

The project will be made up of four north-south oriented parallel blocks with an area of ​​35,000 m2 and will have a three-level underground parking car with 1,300 spaces. These new offices will also use passive strategies for a sustainable construction that will allow them to optimize the use of energy by making the most of its orientation and natural lighting.
