JUNG Architecture Talks: technology and architecture meet at Roig Arena

Coinciding with its 20th anniversary, the JUNG Architecture Talks series celebrated its first edition in Spain on June 4 at the Roig Arena auditorium.

Under the title “Designing the Invisible: When technology becomes spatial quality,” the event focused on the integration of technology in architecture, exploring how it can transform spaces and enrich the creative process from concept to project realization.

Our Director of Sports and Entertainment Projects, Juan Pedro Romera, shared ERRE’s vision of technology in its projects: from its tangible protagonism to its subtle presence, perceived more as an experience than an object, illustrated through four of the studio’s case studies: Roig Arena, Grand Hotel Centenari Valencia, Mercadona Headquarters, and Hortensia Herrero Art Center.

Later, Juan Pedro Romera joined a panel discussion with Mohammed Adib (Dewan Architects & Engineers) and Ramón Esteve, moderated by Ivan Blasi, director of the Mies van der Rohe Awards, addressing the impact of technology and Artificial Intelligence in contemporary architectural practice.

The event brought together 400 attendees, becoming the largest event JUNG Ibérica has organized to date. Throughout the evening, participants engaged in a reflection on different approaches to architecture, emphasizing how technology can be a design ally without compromising sensitivity or spatial quality.
