Tessel

Tessel finds its origin in the word “tessel-la”, referring to the small pieces that, when joined and repeated, created beautiful geometric compositions. Inspired by local tradition, this panel aims to capture the essence of Roman mosaics and Nolla pavements, which emerged in Valencia from 1860 onwards.

With its triangular geometry, inclined surfaces and play of shadows, Tessel reflects this tradition. However, it represents more than just a decorative piece. It is the result of the collaborative work and collective courage of the ERRE arquitectura team, who have managed to shape a creation with a unique personality and character.

Tessel is based on the repetition of small pieces in different positions, generating motifs of greater dimension, like ceramic mosaics. The central piece is a triangle with volume, which rises on one of its faces and empties in the center.

The result is a versatile and expressive panel, with a double scale, which adapts to any space, large or small. Light and shadow play a fundamental role in its appearance, creating a wide gradation of colors on each side of the piece. In turn, these visual effects vary according to the viewpoint and distance of the observer.

Tessel is conceived as a unique piece with its own identity. It is supplied raw, with the color of its base and recycled particles, which facilitates its assembly and puttying. Subsequent application of the color can be done easily by roller or spray, allowing a wide range of options in terms of colors and textures, so that each panel can be perfectly integrated into the desired architectural space.
