ROIG ARENA WILL OFFER A UNIQUE USER EXPERIENCE

The Roig Arena project continues its construction, and with just over a year left until its inauguration, work is focused on the roof and façade of the venue.

Following the milestone of lifting the 8 roof trusses, work is currently underway to ensure that these two elements, roof and façade, create a completely airtight venue that will offer the best visual and acoustic experience to the spectators of the various events that will take place 365 days a year.

UNIQUE ARENA WITH OUTDOOR SPACES TO ENJOY VALENCIA’S MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE

One of the distinguishing features of the ROIG ARENA project design is the presence of outdoor spaces that allow visitors to enjoy the Mediterranean climate and atmosphere offered by the city of Valencia.

In this regard, work continues on the construction of the terraces that will surround the covered venue. These spaces will offer visitors and spectators the opportunity to enjoy the building and its services at any time of the year.

These outdoor spaces involve a laborious and complex execution process, which, through a post-tensioning system, will create a concrete structure that will reach 25 meters in length.

Additionally, work has begun on the structure that will support the venue’s façade. This ceramic skin will consist of more than 9,000 pieces, and we will keep you updated on its execution and progress on our website and social media throughout the year.

FROM VALENCIA TO THE WORLD. A PROJECT WITH INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE

With an investment of 280 million, the Roig Arena project will occupy a total constructed area of approximately 47,000 square meters and will have a maximum capacity of 15,600 spectators in basketball mode and 18,600 in concert mode.

A project, a personal initiative of Juan Roig and the result of public-private collaboration, aims to place Valencia on the international map of sports and cultural events.

An internationally renowned multifunctional venue that will allow all Valencians and visitors to enjoy sports, cultural, and corporate events.

ROIG ARENA. MORE THAN A MULTIFUNCTIONAL SPACE

The ROIG ARENA project will transform its immediate surroundings and add new infrastructure to complement the operation of this multifunctional pavilion.

In this regard, the overall intervention includes the construction of a multi-story parking lot with more than 1000 spaces (currently under construction and nearing completion), a 20,000-square-meter public park that will serve as a connection between the different buildings, and the construction of the Les Arts Public School.

All of this, combined with the L’Alqueria del Basket project, will create a new center in the city of Valencia. A new district that will position Valencia in the international spotlight of sports and cultural events.
